I hope this is one of those “puzzling pieces” that makes viewers scratch their head and wonder about the meaning behind this work. When I conceived of this I was imagining vast landscapes (or puzzle-scapes) with missing pieces, suggesting a seemingly bottomless abyss. What happens if you stumble into the hole? This is the beauty of Surrealism, allowing one’s imagination to finish the end of the story.
