RAINDROPS
Nearly all residents of Los Angeles love the rain and consider it very special when it occurs, as we have been in a drought for many years. So when it rains, I pay close attention to the forms, light, reflections and refractions that the raindrops create on certain surfaces. I love the look of raindrops on a window or the windshield of a car, as I am especially attracted to painting clear objects. I also love painting the curvature and domed shapes that are inherent in raindrops.
