GLASS BLOCKS
The Gemini in me is always searching for the abstract within tight realism. I took a glass block around my house and shot about 200 photos and worked from those initially. When I get the object blocked out, then it’s playtime! The reflections of color and morphed reflected shapes within the glass blocks are especially fun to paint. There are also so many variations of color and form that I can create to make each one a completely unique work of art even though it is the same object repeated over and over. ( again, utilizing my fondness for repetition!)
